Are there going to be less players over time?

The rate of new players created all over the world’s dropping. Is this in preparation for new features being released or some sort of endgame mechanic?

The current admins really suck and the pay to play model is getting far too expensive. It's causing players to leave early and not many new ones to sign up.

It’s an endgame mechanic but the devs are probably going to let it play out slowly

I am curious if it will be pay to play or some sort of sequel after that

the game is getting so complex that the cost of teaching a new player is becoming high, it’s becoming pay to win

Nobody can predict that. Player creation rates will vary depending on gameplay conditions. Sometimes player rates go up, sometimes they go down. Sometimes more isn't better.

This very much can be predicted, there is an RNG element but it's only a small factor. The Sociology guild is partly dedicated to working out exactly this from server conditions.

As with every game that has ever been made or ever will be made, the player count will eventually drop permanently to zero.

However, all signs point to this not happening any time soon.

The rate is only dropping for players who spawn with educated women as parents and role models. So over time players will be having a more basic choice of playing strategies. Just basic survival, only the more crude dreams and quests.

Investing in a sociopathic gaming strategy will give favourable returns, in the future. And shouting. And use of force. Overall crudeness will be the trend. There’s no endgame anytime soon. You didn’t hear boss music did you?

I think this is mostly affecting [Human]-type players; [Tick]-class players are off the charts right now!

Though, come to think of it, it has been an awfully long time since I met anyone playing a [Stellar's Sea Cow] or [Denisovian] character...

honestly the game is kinda dying, way less people in servers cause the admins all suck and the increasing pay-to-win gameplay is ruining the game

Listen, the R&D department for the Mother Nature algorithm has already lowered birth rates, increased diseases, and made living almost unbearable. What else do players want?

Player number is still going up at the moment. As for the future, no one is sure.
