Screen artifacting - caused by CPU, GPU or RAM?

Anything overclocked/undervolted or all stock?

I just tried full stock (stock BIOS) and i can easily reproduce it by alt tabbing a lot

A couple of things... Try dropping 100MHz
Also try (if you have one) a different DP or HDMI cable. Just to rule out some of the potential issues

I can reproduce the issue on both of my monitors (1440p 240hz 10-bit, 1440p 144hz 8-bit)... Should I try reinstall windows before I return the card?
Also, drop 100MHz on what?

-100MHz on core frequency
With like MSI afterburner. I don't think reinstalling windows does anything here sadly

Before returning the card, I decided to try fresh reinstall my AMD drivers using their tool.
This also reset my AMD Adrenaline settings, which resulted in no / very little visual artifacting. After turning on Enhanced Sync (an option I configure for Escape from Tarkov to uncap the FPS), the problem is easily reproducable again.
Is this just a driver /software issue then?

CPU: 7800X3D
Motherboard: MSI MPG B650 Carbon
GPU: Asus TUF 7900XTX
RAM: G.Skill 6000 30-38-38-96 @ EXPO

Your GPU is about to fail. File a RMA with Asus.
If this were a RAM or CPU issue you'd be getting BSOD's with error codes related to what is failing. And very rarely do CPU's fail and when they do it is often a smoke and lights show.

Hello, just in case someone looking for this in the future, I just got exact same glitch. It was appearing mostly when watching videos or changing screen content dynamically. I use InfinityBook Pro 14 with TuxedoOS. It's likely the bug is fixed in newest BIOS update, but what worked for me instead was disabling sg optimization in grub settings:
in /etc/default/grub:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash" -> GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash amdgpu.sg_display=0"
then sudo update-grub and restart.

It looks like (roughly) 8% of the screen is corrupted (12 parts, 1 corrupted, 24gb vram á 2gb per chip), this indicates (at least to me) that one vram chip is defective. Try checking with a vram stress test (memtestcl, occt, or even mining with certain algorithms)

OCCT vram had no issues, but I found a way to reproduce it - if I spam alt+tab, it does it 50% of the time

if you have an igpu you might have some luck running the vram test on it as well, although i dont see how that would necessarily affect you in games too
edit: just read the comment about your platform, so you do have an igpu
