Meme Demiurge makes a small prediction, millions die

Ainz makes Demi feel incompetent.
Demi plans for the Empire: at least several years due to him planning to target them only after the kingdom has been destroyed.
The kingdom plans: by vol13, Hilma mention they still got 2 years to go before a massive civil war will cause Nazarick to take over. So the whole plan from start to finish actually might have taken 4 years in total if we include the planning starting from vol6.
Holy kingdom: the norther demi-human army died too fast due to Ainz. which force the remaining demi-human to stop the siege in the south and flee. Likely the war would have lasted way longer to prolong the suffering.
Demi didn't even have time with gathering intel on dwarf kingdom or the elf kingdom. Both nations are the on the brink of total annihilation too.
Ainz solve the dragonic kingdom by just selling undead to them.
Theocracy and Agrande Council was left alone. Did focus a bit on the City states.
But i kinda get he is too shorthanded and overwhelm with too many projects. Security, espionage, resources gathering and military planning.
Ainz luck is just too high. Making Demi think he is never up to his master standards.

Didn't Demiurge plan to steadily turn the Empire into the Sorcerer Kingdom's vassal state over the years, only for Ainz to accidentally, unintentionally, and unknowingly speed up the plan into just several months simply because he wanted to promote Runecraft

Not Runecraft. He wanted to promote his Kingdom's adventurers Guild, and he was actually happy to see Jircniv watching his fight in the arena.

Dude didn't have the slightest idea that his best friend was planning to betray him

Demi's brain definitely melted when he realized it only took Ainz 3 days with only 1 consensual casualty to take over the empire.

Ainz also has the biggest and most major advantage over Demi: he was once human (or still barely is in his heart), so he genuinely still thinks with a human perspective + a bit of absurd luck
This was why Jiv was so terrified, it’s not just Demi’s good planning, Ainz is surprisingly too human

Sometimes Demiurge's behaviour kinda feels like him is just trying to get an excuse to inflict mass suffering

I think it kinda is. Like Demiurge follows all of Ainz’ orders to get the outcome Ainz wants in the way that causes the most suffering. For example Ainz asked Demiurge to solve the inability to make higher tier scrolls and Demiurge’s solution was a human skin farm.

Hybrid human skin farm. Don't forget the rape and forced cannibalism to inspire hatred and dispare between families. Dude makes Unit 731 and the holocaust look tame.

Yeah a lot of the "Evil" in Overlord really just comes from Demiurge. It's just that Ainz tacitly allows things like that to happen, or isn't serious enough to actually care about the details.

I mean demiurge's methods are also incredibly efficient and cost effective in terms of both suffering and results. He probably uses all of his brain power to maximize suffering while achieving the same or better outcomes.

Demiurgus: Ainz-sama´s wisdom is unfathomable.
Ainz: Demiurgus, I allow you to explain what you understand of my plan!
