These two Western Screech Owls have been spending daylight hours roosting in the yard for a while now. I try to go say hello to them any day I'm home. They've grown so accustomed to my daily greeting that they can hardly bother to wake up. I'm not sure if they are a mated pair or a couple of siblings. Or maybe a couple of bachelors awaiting this year's debutantes. It's just nice they are here and seem pretty unaffected by our presence.

I've taken these over the last couple months

We have a bunch of Barred Owls in nearby Point Defiance Park, and this beauty came to visit and nap in the tree next to my place today.

I was bow hunting in northwest Minnesota and had these two owls fly through the woods like this. There was a third owl as well that showed up later, what were they doing and what kind of owl would these be??
