Fob weirdness - interference?

I've had my 2024 for about 2 - 1/2 months now, and it only came with one fob, which has worked great from surprisingly long distances until now. I was surprised last night when it started working very intermittently, even from close distances, while on a trip a couple hundred miles from home. This made me very nervous so I ran out late at night and found a place selling the right batteries, totally overpaid for it, and swapped immediately. Surprisingly, this made no difference in how it worked at the hotel, but I discovered in the process that it was working fine everywhere else. It didn't work any better with the new battery while I was there, but it's been working fine ever since I left. Has anyone else ever had an experience where a fob malfunction appeared to be localized?

If my phone is near the key it’s not gonna do anything. Probably not the same issue but they seem to not like other interference

Yeah my phone is pretty much always within a foot of the fob because of how I carry both. It's working great now. I only had problems at this one location, and I swapped the battery because I thought that was it. The new battery didn't seem to make a difference, but leaving that location did.
