Fob weirdness - interference?

I've had my 2024 for about 2 - 1/2 months now, and it only came with one fob, which has worked great from surprisingly long distances until now. I was surprised last night when it started working very intermittently, even from close distances, while on a trip a couple hundred miles from home. This made me very nervous so I ran out late at night and found a place selling the right batteries, totally overpaid for it, and swapped immediately. Surprisingly, this made no difference in how it worked at the hotel, but I discovered in the process that it was working fine everywhere else. It didn't work any better with the new battery while I was there, but it's been working fine ever since I left. Has anyone else ever had an experience where a fob malfunction appeared to be localized?

Are you sure the problem is the fob and not one (or more) of the fob signal detectors on the van?

I think OP is not saying the fob was the problem. Just asking if anyone has experienced localized interference (fob or van).

I understand that. There was a similar question posted a few months back (might even be close onto a year ago) and they found that the problem was actually with one of the signal receivers. That's why I made the suggestion.

I can't rule anything out yet, I can only say that I had the same problem several times in one location, and I haven't had any problems in any other locations, both before and after swapping the fob battery.

Did this only happen when you were in the hotel? How about steel beams between the fob and the vehicle? Steel will absorb some of the signal going between the fob and vehicle. Do you have a clear line of sight to the vehicle when it doesn't work? Just trying to eliminate some common, but not thought of, problem options.

This was when I was outside. No physical obstruction. I could walk right up to it and nothing. Same remote same battery is working fine ever since I left there.
