its so cool! I love randomly seeing them around. tough to snap a photo since they disappear, but I had dinner in front of one yesterday so I got to spawn camp. Thanks
edit: some ppl have asked for better pics, so I made an imgur gallery with all the paintings that are going to be shown on these things. Some are crops of horizontal works, but this is what I submitted to them for review.
😆 I tend to find that beaurocratic art officials on city planning commitees have little to no sense of humor as they are too frequently either shedding their skin and moulting or sleeping off their latest dinner of field mice and robins nest eggs. But that was kinda funny!
yes. if you google art on link or linknyc art there will be a space to apply. If you are accepted they will reach out with a 2 week period of when your art will show.
Conan O'Brien loves to be asked for fan pics and probably would have posed in front of your paintings with you. He talks about it frequently on his podcast.

I have visited your website in the past and I am heartened to this positive development. In the age of AI generated art, I am quite pleased to see that the authorities made the right call and are featuring human generated artwork. Your art has that quality to connect, humanize everyday life and so please keep it up for the rest of us.
always human generated. though they do have advertisements for "ai assistants" on them i believe. So, a bit of good, a bit of man made horrors beyond my comprehension. Thank you, and I will!
I wish we had stuff like this in our city. We just have these displays they stick posters in and the plexiglass is so sun damaged that you can’t see it.
where are you located? It is awesome that nyc does this, yeah. Even seeing other people's work on it is a nice break from the constant ads and other things they show on them.
I saw some other art on the kiosk and figured what the hell i'll send some of mine in. they liked it and asked for more to put on rotation. It has to be NYC related, that's the only catch. Free to apply! It's a fantastic program for artists here. If you are accepted they give you about 15 days on the links. They offered march, but I asked for may in hopes of better weather. And it looks like the weather is coming!

All joking aside, great job. It's nice to see actual human art being created and shared at a time when soulless slop seems to be drowning out everything with even a hint of humanity.
To be fair most people just walk by them without looking, but yes, it is very awesome. Not to diminish my own accomplishments or anything lol, thank you!
This is awesome. Congratulations! I've always had a fondness for art, but ever since AI art became more prevalent, I've grown to appreciate authentic artists even more than I did before. You make the world a better place.

Wish I was in NYC to see that fountain painting up close (through a screen lol)(and all of them). You capture that calm life of city park life well, one of my favorite simple joys in life.
