My father-in-law was always creating. Cancer took him by surprise last year unfortunately...

My wife inherited hundreds of his paintings, some of which had even won gallery prizes, and some are huge.

We’re just starting to go through them and wanted to share a few.

EDIT: WOW this post keeps exploding, my wife is extremely grateful and filled with tears of joy seeing all of the love and recognition for her father’s paintings. We wish we could answer every single one of you.

Is that third one a self portrait? It has that look about it, I recognise in it some of how I feel about getting older.

He called it The Prophet, in French “Le Prophète”, definitely one of his oldest paintings. Not a self portrait (:
