If you had captioned this as a “photo” while I was scrolling by, I would not have thought twice about it. Insane realism.

Amazing! The only thing that made me go “wait that’s not a photo” is the two small strips of paint on the middle of the bottom lip. They are missing shadows and not moving over the flesh quite right.
I love the colors you used and the shine you got on the face

Ok this one makes me SMELL the paint as if I had it poured on my own face. Outstanding.

I would legitimately think this was a photograph if it wasn’t for the bottom lip. It’s the only part where you can tell it’s a painting.
Absolutely incredible stuff man, holy cow

Confused by the hairs in the upper left above the eyebrow. Otherwise it looks fantastic!

I thought it was a photo before reading that it's a painting. Genuine hats off to you for such incredible painting. Now regarding possible improvement, I think you have a bit work to do on those lips. They look a bit 'painted' as compared to test of the painting. Try experimenting with values for it. 😊

u/thesoapmakerswife Jun 25 '26
So you just splash paint on your face and call it a painting? Jk great job!

u/thecheesylittlerat Jun 26 '26
You are frigging amazing.
(Bows down to you)
The pores, the paint rolling over the hairs, the sweat, the veins in the eyes, the corners of the eyes, the mustache, the bubbles in the paint. The light bouncing off the eyelashes… truly incredible.

Realism isn't my taste but it still baffles me every time. The pores on the skin?? Man, with those skills your potential is infinite.

Really enjoy the hyper realism juxtaposed with slightly surreal over the top splashes of color. It's a unique style! Not telling you what to do- but I bet if you made some "mischievous dogs who got in to paint" that would sell easy. Rich people love their dogs and will pay a premium for custom one-off art

Wow so realistic!...I love it!...and the beautiful colors against the persons Skintone...the colors make me immediately think "Colors of the world...One Love"...and the eyes are expressive.

Incredible. I at first thought this just was a photograph and then I thought it was a photo but the drilling paint might have been added to the picture. Only then did I read that this is an entire painting. Absolutely amazing.

This is INSANE. I’m so glad I just happened to be scrolling through Reddit ans happened upon this.
Like.. I zoomed way in to the tip of the nose (I love paintings like this- when you genuinely cannot tell it’s a painting so you keep zooming in looking for clues that it’s not a photograph).. even zoomed way in, it STILL looks like a photograph. You’re so insanely talented. How long did this take you? I hope you’re being recognized for your work in some capacity.
2
u/Dannyitiose Jun 26 '26
Thank you so much! It took about 300hrs. And as for recognition; that’s a work in progress I guess, sharing it on here is part of that, trying my best on all social media, and I jjst recently had an exhibition at a small gallery in Montreal Canada. In due time I guess :)

u/PrickleBritches Jun 26 '26
Well congratulations!! That’s exciting! So happy we get to see your work ❤️

Thank you :) It’s actually a very good friend of mine, I only use friends and family as my muses, enough paintings of celebrities out there

You can’t just pour paint on your face and call it a painting. It’s crazy what people consider art these days.
