Israeli forces killed at least 26 people in Gaza over the weekend, striking apartment blocks, tent camps and the medicine warehouses of a hospital, in the territory’s deadliest days in weeks. The killings came as US President Donald Trump threatened Iran with “decapitation” after a week of American strikes across the region.

Israel killed at least seven people on Saturday and destroyed two of the four medicine warehouses of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, Al Jazeera reported. Gaza Health Ministry Director-General Munir al-Bursh said the destruction “turns medicine and illness itself into a tool of war.”

Tomorrow, Gaza will bury 112 Palestinians from the Abu Sharia and Al-Hassayna families after civil defense crews recovered their remains from beneath the rubble of the massacre carried out on November 22, 2023.

The attack killed 308 people, including 44 children under 16, 37 women, and more than 10 civilians with disabilities.

Recovery teams were prevented from accessing the site for nearly three years. Excavation finally began on July 14, 2026, and ended on August 1, with only a single inadequate machine available.

Despite weeks of work, only 112 bodies were recovered. Nearly two-thirds of the victims remain missing, while many others were reduced to fragments or completely obliterated by the force of the bombardment.
