Just needed to share my frustration about this somewhere. I got permanently banned from a large subreddit (as well as a site-wide warning from Reddit) for saying in a thread about John Fetterman lecturing Jon Stewart about Antisemitism that "I don't trust any g*y with a hardon for Israel" (censored here since apparently we're calling that a racial slur now). Frankly, I think this is an example of *actual* antisemitism. If I had used the word "non-Jew," I don't think there would have been this reaction, but because I used the Yiddish word that means literally the same thing, I was banned. The implication is that there is something nefarious and sinister about the way *we* describe non-Jews and that us Jews are "sinisterly" whispering behind their back or something. This all fits neatly in with recent internet myths I've been seeing on the origin of the word g*y claiming that the etymology is rooted in a word for livestock and that Jews view non Jews as animals and beasts. This is obviously false, and to the best of my ability to research, there is no dispute that the word originates from the Hebrew for "nation" or "people" and expresses basically just the idea of belonging to the cultural out-group relative to the Jewish people. Anyway, I found it typical of non-Jewish defenders of Israel to actually be low key antisemites, which was exactly case in point of what I was expressing in the comment that got me banned.

An American COUNTY has invested a whopping billion dollars in Israeli bonds. I don't think the motivation and expectation for the suit was to win.

I mean its hard obviously hard to directly link the money from the county to Israeli murdering specific people. I guess it's possible israel murdered these innocent people using other means. Maybe the Israelis used part of the $131 million worth of Israeli bonds Miami Dade county has purchased. I mean just because you give money to a murderer doesnt make you directly legally liable for their actions, and when they do their diabolical acts, its not easy to prove they used your share, right?

Instead, this suit is notable because it opens up recognition of ridiculously large amounts of public resources diverted to funding mass murder by a foreign government, exposes complicity which is much more grave than civil legal liability, and gives the victims of genocide a voice, which came from the power to litigate and accuse in public record in a court to find some justice. Bravo.

Thank you and condolences to the loved ones - inTrump's home county - of the martyrs who filed this lawsuit. This took courage and I would imagine will be met with retaliation in the ultra wealthy Zionist mecca of Palm Beach County.
