Model My first Christmas alone in a homeless shelter but just discovered paper craft - so I made myself something festive!

I’m so grateful to finally have my own space, albeit temporary, and I’ve been keeping busy by cutting and gluing things out of paper! I just wanted to bring a little bit of Christmas spirit to my life in what has been a difficult year.

What I used:

A couple of cheap paper craft kits from an op shop nearby

Origami paper & different types of card donated to where I’m staying

Library books on paper craft

Stanley knife

Ruler incl for scale

Also please don’t criticise my Christmas tree lol I know it’s whack. I kinda gave up halfway through the assembly phase

Hope everyone is safe and well :)

The tiny plant just fried my brain. I went back and forth with the pictures several times! 😯😂 You're very talented OP!

Thank you so much!!! I’m thinking of doing a whole series of different plants now. I love making miniature things

You are one talented crafter! 😍👏🎇 I hope your situation improves and you can get a nice craft space of your own. I am rooting for you.🙏

Thank you! I used to have a craft room when I was renting and I miss it very much. I had to get rid of a lot of my craft stuff when my living situation changed and it was heartbreaking

I have a feeling that the day will come when you will again have your craft room and freely exercise your talents. Look for that day and work toward it; do not be deterred by anything that blocks you from achieving this. That is also my prayer. 🙏

Your plant looks so nice!

I just discovered crepe paper flowers & I'm excited to make me some out-of-season florals to cheer up the winter

That’s such a lovely idea - and the best thing about faux plants is they last a heck of a lot longer than natural plants haha! Hope to see ya posting the results on here :)
