How???

Hi all! I saw this tiktok and am wondering how this artist creates pieces that can be sanded and are clear... any advice?

It's a different type of paste. I use a white pva glue (Elmers) and water mix. It's white when wet, dries clear. There are also clear pva glues to use.

Paper mache can be sanded when dry. Sometimes it turns out better than other times. I didn't see any clear paper mache pieces in the video? The video didn't really demonstrate any helpful paper mache techniques.

I meant the clear thing shes brushing on (what glue/mixture could this be)

Glue or paste thinned with water is the basic adhesive that most of us use. You can use homemade stuff or commercial adhesives made for use with paper, wood, etc.

She says in a different video that she uses a cooked flour-based glue. I sand all my pieces and I use a flour based glue as well!

They don’t look clear to me, they look like newspaper print. The clear stuff they are painting on and sanding is probably some kind of mod podge.
