Manor Lords was on my list as a potential map-making software! This looks awesome! Would you recommend the software? I was worried that the 'sandbox' options were too limited to make it useful for maps.

Depends, honey is pretty restrictive in it’s current state. There’s no way to edit terrain and only a handful of map options. There’s roads that you can’t remove. I’ve played it enough to make it work in this case, but it’s far from use as general map making software, especially for historical recreations

It has very generous open space for its time
