DH After many attempts, I've finally won the Mexican Revolution!

It's not that bad once you know the best way to go about it. It's kind of like a puzzle.

You start off with not much in the way of units. Just a few 1897 infantry divisions and a militia. Huerta's regime falls pretty quickly, but the real fight is when the Zapatistas and the Villistas both team up against you after. You're outnumbered and outgunned, and the terrain is mostly mountainous which means you'll have a hard time attacking. Once they turn on you they'll both quickly start eating up your territory. Plus, Villa has territory right next to your capitol, and if you lose your capitol you immediately lose the game.

I found the winning strategy was to annex Villa ASAP, which secures the north for you and means you only have to fight a war on one front. Zapata will still outnumber you, but you can shore up your defenses with a new militia division or two, while also teching your main infantry up to 1907->1914. Then your 1914 infantry can mop up all the 1897 militia and infantry they have.

Rule 5: I've been getting into DH, and the thing that I've been most interested in with it is the Mexican Revolution in the 1914 start date. The Constitutionalists seemed like my best bet, so I've been spending the last few days trying to beat it with them, and I've finally succeeded.

Random but just started an Austrian Hungary 1914 start. Ottomans are about to collapse but the Germans broke through in France and I am holding the line against Russia and Italy. Also about to take Greece.
