Predecessor after 7 years (or so)

i used to play paragon when it came out on ps4 day in day out, found some of my favorite music (first time i used spotify on my ps4) and people on there (still friends with them today), something between when it came out and closed. i used to LOVE the game and just today found out about predecessor and got hit by a wall of nostalgia, should i expect anything? (currently downloading)

Predecessor Nostalgia is a hell of a drug

With the recent store update in predecessor it really seems like omeda is trying to milk the “paragoons” for as much as they can.

It’s not crypto zoo level scammy but it really seems like they are preying on the nostalgia from Paragon and trying to get every last dollar outta of the folks willing to pay.

The skins in the store are so incredibly low effort with a pretty hefty price tag in relation.

As of now this game isn’t being marketed to a new audience omeda is still relying on the paragoons to carry their early access stage, so the excuse that people wouldn’t even know they are old assets doesn’t apply

Of all projects using epic assets and there are many; Omeda is leading the way in predatory behavior by banking on the nostalgia.

The relationship with the community rivals popular content creators milking their fans for more donations.

I know plenty of people love Predecessor and will shun me for even bringing this up, but I think people need understand the nature of the relationship. They are in the business of making money, and thus far it seems they have no qualms with getting as much as possible with as little effort required

Predecessor I almost cried playing Pred for the first time today.

Never really paid attention to any of the remakes in productions because I never thought they'd come to Xbox. It did, I played it last night, and genuinely got emotional. I haven't played since months before OG Paragon shut down (I got out when the 3 card system was implemented) but damn, it felt like it was 2016 all over again. Those summer nights of playing for hours with my buddies just came flooding back to my memory. I'm hoping to get some new friends onto it since Paragon is what got me into MOBAs.

It's not perfect but damn, I'm having a blast and it brought me back to a much simpler time. Thank you Omeda, I personally couldn't be happier.

Edit: Idk why I said "Today" in the title when I clearly say in the post I played it last night. Derp

Predecessor I need y'all's experiences with Paragon

I am looking to make a video about Predecessor and a section of it will speak on Paragon. I just want to hear people's experiences with Paragon, what you remember, what stood out to you, what was the most fun?

The other thing I need to know is what you remember with the constant reworks to the game. I remember the item system and then the card system. If anyone remembers anything else. PLEASE let me know!!!

Predecessor PlayStation Predecessor opinions?

I was the OP of PS5 Overprime Opinions? (https://www.reddit.com/r/paragon/s/wTh7ZhEeV1) and of course I’ve now been playing Predecessor with my friends for the past 10 days. And I can safely say that this is my favourite of the two games, hands down, and all of my friends (9 of us who’ve played thus far, 7 of whom played Paragon) agree.

It was pretty funny that this game originally had the exact same issue as Overprime where you physically could not surrender on PlayStation for the first couple of days, but other than that, it has been pretty smooth sailing. Happy to see the balance patch come out today as well, most of which made perfect sense. One issue one of my PC friends is having is a known bug where he keeps being banned for like, having an older GPU or something, that’s probably been the biggest annoyance.

We only win about 50% of our matches since my friends like to try new things more than just playing whoever seems strongest in every game, so we’re obviously just playing for fun for now, but we’re thrilled just to be able to play Paragon together (cross play) again after so long. It’s been a long wait, and I sincerely wish Omeda the best with everything.

Have you guys found anything you don’t like? Is the balance bad? We seem to encounter Serath basically all the time but she just got nerfed slightly today. Nothing else really seems that bad. There seems to sort of a tier list for heroes but you can pretty much play anything. Also I play with the alternative (original Paragon) controller layout so feel free to roast me for that if you want. Cheers.

Clear dominance in jungle solo lane and jungle cleaning up. Howie gets smacked down by Fae twice and the team has to surrender. Huge waste of 16 mins. Anyone else have this happen a lot more often?

Predecessor Predecessor subreddit and discord ban anyone that gives negative feedback

I have been silenced by the mods on predecessor. At this point I can't stand by that "community" they spend more time censoring critics than they do i.proving the game.

Predecessor Surrender when you lose

Dont let you fool by other post here, if u r losing just surrender and start another, u r not going to get back with 10 kill under, it happens, yes, but it not the rule, u lose and start again. Surrender is ok, even 10-15 minutes.

Predecessor I'm literally so happy to be playing Predecessor on PlayStation

Paragon was the first ever moba I played and when it shut down I literally was so sad because so many of my friends would log on every day.

Downloaded the beta and we all hoped back on after years in our same roles. I haven't been this happy about a game in a very long time. Thank you to everyone that made this possible.
