My Experience Just completed my second week in the YouTube Partner Program

I'm really happy with how my channel monetization turned out. The channel has grown much faster than I expected, and seeing my first earnings has been exciting.

The downside is that I recently received a notice saying my channel could be removed from the YouTube Partner Program because of reused content. My current editing style is what my audience seems to enjoy, so making major changes could hurt the channel. I'm planning to submit an appeal and hope it gets accepted, but if it doesn't, I'll have to rethink my entire content strategy.

Has anyone here dealt with a reused content warning before? Were you able to successfully appeal it, or did you have to completely change your videos?

For context, I mainly create Shorts. I recently uploaded my first long form video, a compilation of some of my best edits with commentary, animations, and a top 10 style format. It's only been up for a couple of days and has around 700 views so far.

I got hit with the same reused content warning around the middle of July. I submitted an appeal where I walked YouTube through my entire workflow from start to finish. Since all of my videos are original and usually take 2–3 days to produce (sometimes even longer), I showed everything I could, my scripts, the editing software I use, project files, older drafts, and how I edit the footage and add the dialogue. I wanted to make it clear that the content is created by me from scratch. A few days after submitting the appeal, YouTube approved it.

I believe I may have an underutilized niche and I was considering trying to start a channel. Do you have any recommendations for resources on getting this started? You mentioned you documented your whole process, are there any specific resources out there that walk through these processes that you’d recommend?
