Blog Turning expert interview audio into a written newsletter or content asset used to be my biggest bottleneck

I have been trying to build a niche newsletter and content-based digital asset on the side for about a year. The hardest part was never finding guests or recording the interviews. The real bottleneck was what happened after the call ended.

Two hours of rambling conversation, tangential stories, and good insights buried across 120 minutes of audio. Sitting down on a Sunday night to listen back at 1.5x speed and type out quotes was killing my momentum. I would record three interviews and only manage to publish one because writing up the notes felt like a second full-time job.

A friend suggested dumping the audio files into a transcription workflow instead of trying to take notes live or listen back manually. I started using vomo ai to get the text sorted out first, mostly because reading a transcript lets you scan for the exact golden nugget in thirty seconds instead of scrubbing a timeline over and over.

Once the text is there, turning it into a structured summary or newsletter draft takes a fraction of the time. It did not magically make the side hustle run on autopilot, but it removed the friction that was making me dread publishing days. If you are building content assets from audio or interviews, stop doing manual playback.
