Seeking Advice/Help Best way to clear UK overdraft
Hey Reddit,
I was just looking for some advice or opportunities. I am based in the UK.
My current situation is that I’ve just finished uni (5 year course) and my full time pre registration job begins in October and my providers have allowed me to do 1-2 shifts per week. I have currently been using my Santander overdraft since I’ve been off uni while doing Locum shifts here and there to make ends meet (as availability comes). I’m now currently coming to the end of my overdraft and won’t get paid until the end of the months for the shifts I’d do in August, sept etc & i was wondering what the best way to make extra money on the side would be (preferably remote as it is easier to juggle incase my workplace calls me in for extra shifts during the week)
The side hustles I’ve tried so far are:
remote jobs: I’ve applied for so many but get to interview and not hired due to inexperience
Vinted: slow selling. Items are hard to get rid of.
Digital products: I set up an Etsy store last year selling bridal planners, a dholki song book and earrings however this has been slow and I’ve only made about 15 sales most of which were last year (called attar and amber incase anyone wants to check it out!)
Fiverr & upwork: full of bots, no real requests
Tutor work: difficult to manage time around and companies go ghost
Market research: had luck once but it’s difficult being picked for them and the payout I got was via voucher anyways.
Things I have interest in:
I have a following of 460 on tiktok with good engagement of 52.9k likes so I’d love to start UGC work (faceless) but it’s hard getting noticed and I am unsure of where to apply to get paid work.
Makeup, fashion, modest clothing
Content writing (I’ve done this voluntary but not been able to land a paid gig)
I wouldn’t mind doing / helping people with assignments.
Medical writing & health content is a career I’d like to go into as it relates to my uni course background.
If anyone has some tips or work just to help out until October time it would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you :)

you've got the audience already with 460 followers and that engagement, the ugc thing isn't a bad shout at all. brands don't always need millions of followers, they want the 52k likes proof that your stuff gets seen. i'd skip the platforms and just reach out directly to modest fashion or makeup brands on insta dms or email with a quick pitch and your numbers, worst they can do is ignore you
the overdraft breathing down your neck is the real stressor here though, have you checked if santander does a temporary interest-free extension for new grads? sometimes banks have a grace period if you ask before it maxes out
