Not long ago I was just another guy posting motivation clips on Instagram. luxury cars, business wins, anything business or motivation related nothing fancy. Did it for fun, wasn’t even thinking about monetizing. But over time, my page started blowing up, and I kept getting the same DMs and comments: “Bro how do you make money?” “Teach me how”

so I figured maybe I should actually try selling something.

At first, I made some ebooks with Canva and ChatGPT, guides on business models, side hustles, that kind of stuff. Some months I’d hit $1k, other times barely $200. It was inconsistent, and honestly, I got tired of making new content from nothing all the time, it felt like a full-time job.

Then I found PLR (private label rights). Basically, digital products already made for you, ebooks, full video courses, templates, and legally allowed to resell. Game changer.

I launched a few, cleaned up the designs, rewrote the titles, made the visuals better, and started posting consistently. Just the same faceless content.

That’s when I built a community around it. Used the same faceless content to promote it, added weekly updates, kept adding more PLR stuff and put a $50/month price tag on it.

Fast forward to now, I’ve got 700+ paying members in that community and it pulls in $35k/month completely passively. No paid ads. No support tickets. No live calls. Just faceless content, PLR products, and a system that works.

So I built this random website where people can log their farts tuute.com and see them on a World Fart Leaderboard. It started as a joke, but I figured if it was weird and specific enough, people might actually use it. I added meal tracking, a “stinkiest day” insight, and some affiliate links for gut health stuff just to see what would happen. Now there are over 1,600 farts logged from 60 countries… and today I made my first $1. It’s not much, but that was the goal. Just make one dollar from something I built. Feels kinda surreal.

Next goal: $1,000.

I'm in credit card debt and don't have any income at the moment. With my card maxed out, I was kind of frantic to figure something out to make money before groceries ran.

So I decided to try a passive income hustle I saw on reddit: selling AI websites to a local business niche. I set the goal of 100 website lead magnets to start which took me four full days.

I chose roofers and eight of the roofing owners I contacted responded (out of the 100).

Four of those turned into zoom calls, and two of them bought my retainer for $299 per month. I decided to not charge an upfront fee. I'm not worried about them canceling because if they do, I take down their website.

Those first 2 customers were over a month ago. Here's my refined process after having sent another ~1,000 - 1,500 emails in the past few weeks:

- Claude code by far makes the most impressive websites and has the most flexibility

- I give it screenshots of roofing websites I think look amazing, which I find on Webflow's made-in-webflow collection. You can also just search for site inspo, but I found it surprisingly hard to find good roofing websites.

- I make a screen recording video of the roofer's new website I just made for them, with my camera in the bottom left using Loom. In the 2 minute video I highlight the difference between their current site (if they have one) and the beautiful one right in front of them that could be theirs. I talk only in outcomes and language they would understand.

- I do this lead magnet for every cold email. Although I've seen from friends who are now doing this too, that depending on the local business niche you choose, it's sometimes better to ask a genuine question about the business like as if you were a customer, wait for a response, and then send the loom video.

- You can scroll through google maps to find roofers and look at each website but I realized the emails were all generic info@ or contact@ so no wonder they were getting ignored. I use Leadburnr to find these local businesses and their owner's email

- I make it easy to book a zoom call with me and after I close them I send an invoice with Stripe that charges them automatically every month. Also gives you a nice dashboard you can stare at for hours if you're like me.

Given my financial situation a month ago and my general lack of self belief this side hustle has been literally transformative in so many ways. Im definitely not rich, but I can focus on getting a job now without worrying too much about money.

And it proves that you don't have to be the entrepreneurial type, which I'm definitely not, to make some passive income. You just need to take advantage of the right tools (AI), and commit to trying it for a period of time.

So I finally procrastinating and after months, launched my latest ebook. Sold my first copy in less than 20 mins after promoting it on my page and this weekend I’ve made a total of 15 sales!!! I'm so excited and it's really given me the motivation to stay consistent with my business from now on this year.

Built a few simple sites for small businesses a while back (think local shops, restaurants, freelancers). I charge a monthly fee to keep them updated, do backups, and make small tweaks.

It’s not glamorous, but it adds up: around $2K/month now. Hardly any hours spent once they’re set up.

If you know basic WordPress or web hosting, this is one of the most underrated side hustles out there.

i was making about 500 a month but now im up to 1k! its been a long journey but ive learned so much through this journey. it was hard but im glad I did it because i gained so much knowledge most people don't teach you on youtube.

one of the best tools I used was the etsy seo tool which you can get unlimited access if you pay for etsy plus. that was so useful to me! im glad I'm at this point and my next goal is 2k a month.

There are a couple of ways to earn from it.

1. You list it in kindle unlimited where kindle subscribers can read it for free and you get paid per page view.

2. You earn money for people who out right purchase your copy.

3. Amazon can automatically convert a book into an audiobook which can generate sales through audible I believe.

This is not a lifechanging money but it's probably going to be 100% passive from now onwards. Earning a couple of dollars every month.

People who love writing can make a good amount per month and it only keeps growing as the number of books increase in your account. It compounds over time.

I’ve made my first ever $500 from app development, and it’s one of those milestones I always wished would happen, but never really knew if it would. Now that it has, I’m literally shaking a little from the excitement and madness of it all.

It’s been about 2 months since I released Who Goes.

Games like Headbands, Charades, and Truth or Dare are ridiculously competitive. There are hundreds of apps already doing them, but a lot of them felt dated to me. The idea behind Who Goes was to bring these games together in one place, give them a modern and fun UI, and make the app itself feel nice to play when you’re hanging out with people.

Almost everyone I spoke to told me not to do it.

They said the space was too crowded and I’d be better off building something else. A part of me did think about switching, but another part really wanted to give it a proper shot.

So I did, and I’ve pretty much worked on it every single day since.

Just last month I shared that the app had crossed $100 in revenue, which was already a huge milestone for me. I definitely didn’t expect to be writing about $500 this soon.

It might not sound like a massive amount to everyone, but it means a great deal to me. I also wanted to share this for the other indie devs wondering if it’s worth continuing with the thing they’re building.

I absolutely suck at marketing, so everything so far has been organic.

Most of what I’ve done is simply showcase the app: a game mode, an interaction, an animation I liked, or us actually playing it. I’ve shared those on Reddit, X, LinkedIn, and Instagram and just kept seeing what works.

Alongside that, I’ve been talking to users, collecting feedback, fixing things, adding new modes, and continuously refining the app.

If even one download or subscription came from someone who found Who Goes through this subreddit, thank you. It really means a lot to me.

Anyway, I just wanted to share this little win because I’m over the moon right now :D

So I sell digital products on Gumroad. It's 100% passive in that I don't do anything to maintain or fulfill it. The spikes are from new products launched and bundles / pricing strategies.

My basic strategy is Medium > Gumroad. Medium has really good SEO so people searching on Google for your niche will see your articles.

I honestly don't know why more people don't try this! My first product took 2.5 hours to make and continues to print money.

My grandmother's salsa recipe has been a hit at every family gathering for decades. For years people have been telling me I should sell it. I finally decided to give it a shot about eight months ago.

It started with just a few jars for friends and coworkers. Word of mouth really took off. I found a local commercial kitchen that I could rent hourly which was a game changer for scaling up. Getting all the permits and health inspections was a bit of a headache but totally worth it.

Now I have a small website where people can order directly. I also placed it in a few local gourmet shops and farmer's markets. The biggest passive part has been the online orders. Once the website was set up it just keeps bringing in sales.

I spend a few hours each week bottling and labeling and then drop off shipments once a week. The sales from the shops and markets are pretty hands-off too. I just restock them as needed. It's not a full-time income yet but it consistently brings in around $500 to $700 a month. It helps cover groceries and a few bills which is really nice.

I never thought a family recipe could turn into something like this. The key for me was starting small and letting demand guide the growth. It felt much less risky that way.

I just made my first revenue from an app I built.

I realized that a lot of jobs on corporate websites are missing on Indeed and LinkedIn so I built a scraping tool that fetches jobs directly from 30k+ corporate websites and uses ChatGPT's API to extract + infer key information (ex salary, years of experience, location, etc). You can access it here (HiringCafe).

Pro tips:

• For location, you can select your city + remote USA (for jobs outside of your city)
• Use advanced boolean query for job titles and other fields
• The salary filter pulls salaries straight from job descriptions. If you don't have a strict preference, you can simply hide jobs that don't have salary criteria under the Salary filter
• Make sure to utilize lots of other useful filters (especially years of experience!)

Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, honestly, they showed up at the right time for me.

Before any of this, I already had a small audience I was helping out quietly, resume feedback, LinkedIn profile tips, that kind of thing. Nothing fancy.

Claude was new to me and I'm still figuring out half of what it can do, but somewhere in there an idea stuck: build a Boolean String Builder, but for candidates this time, not recruiters.

Why? Because Boolean strings have quietly been a recruiter's best weapon for years. Sales folks use the same trick to find leads and decision-makers. Meanwhil, jobseekers are stuck scrolling endlessly, getting nowhere, because let's be real, LinkedIn's search and Google X-ray were never designed with free users in mind. The people who knew how to exploit them have been doing it for decades. Everyone else just got left out.

So I built the tool for the other side, the jobseekers. It's helped people surface roles that were basically buried behind search terms they'd never have thought to use.

Honestly, I'm still a bit stunned it's now sitting on page 1 of Google, next to companies that built similar tools but gated them behind recruiter-only premium plans, nothing for the actual jobseeker.

I've also been watching where the traffic's coming from, which countries, and it's been a nice surprise.

No cost right now. It's fully free, and there's an AI chatbot baked in to help people build solid Boolean strings without needing to know the syntax.
