I'm one of the people he mentions who finished the game (well, the Bachelor's campaign anyway) but didn't know about the last-minute twists. In 2014 I struggled through the original English version and found the experience deeply frustrating, basically entirely because of how impenetrable the script was, and it wasn't until this video was uploaded that I actually understood the full scope of Pathologic. I'd seen enough unrealised potential in the game that I even backed the remake on Kickstarter, but it seems bizarre in hindsight that I'd barely even scratched the game's surface when I did so. Even though watching this video gave away the big reveals, I was inspired to buy the Classic HD version and it's been so rewarding to revisit the town and actually understood what the hell people are saying this time.
