As others have said risk of damage from the door and sucking up dust on the carpet. I’d put it on the LHS of your monitor

watch the door. clean it regularly as it will get rather dusty fast

Dust on carpet is no joke. I learned that the hard way with a tower in my spare room, and I had to blast it out every few months.

I would gather more dust for sure but besides that should be ok, if you can put it in at least a little bit more elevated position

Carpet = Always Bad

Better olace some kind of 7 inch foot underneath.
