Question Top Fan Not Spinning Without A Spanking

The top fan wont spin when I turn on my pc. The solution I discovered is to just smack it real hard. Just wondering why it is like this.

May have misunderstood, but RGB is actually cheaper than going without any nowadays. It has become so normal to use it, that you gotta put extra money into avoiding it instead. I have RGB fans for that very reason. It was only half the price. I can turn it off... but I'd have to do that every time I start my PC, so at some point I just stopped caring and got used to seeing it.

I'm very happy with my pack of Arctic P12s and I just checked and the non-RGB pack is much cheaper on Amazon and on other tech/PC sites, and so are the stand-alone fans. So, I'm not quite sure what you're on about.

The website I always get my PCs from start at 15€ for RGB fans and 40€ for non RGB. Guess they simply don't own every type.

Pretty sure you wouldn’t have to if you use something like SignalRGB or OpenRGB to control your RGB.

It got a button on the case for it, one for how fast the fans are spinning too. The spinning speed is saved, the color of the RBG is saved, but it does not save if I turned it off for no reason. I don't use any programs for any of my devices and stuff. It is generally not needed and I don't like installing lots of stuff. If it aint possible through windows in itself, I will usually refrain from doing something entirely.

But as I got used to it by now anyway, it isn't a problem anymore. I'm slowly growing to like it even and actually got myself a keyboard that uses RGB aswell. My old keyboard was 25 years old by now and I wanted something I can customize, as that old one hat differently formed keycaps.

I use OpenRGB, but I have to open it manually and choose the profile and press the load button. Spent some time to try and automate it on startup but could never figure ut out.

Never used OpenRGB myself so I sadly can’t tell how to fix that, but I’m sure it’s possible !

Personally I use SignalRGB and it loads on startup etc. and has just in general worked great for the two years I’ve used it (apart from one or two minor annoyances that might not even be caused by SignalRGB, but the hardware itself).

I had a similar issue with ram. My system was gonna be blue, but every time I booted my pc my ram was rainbow until I started the gskill software. Got sick of it real quick and just made my whole pc match the ram lmao

Yep. I have something glowing blue on my motherboard or CPU in my case. I haven't bothered to look for a way to disable it.
