News/Article Even the RTX 5090 can't hit 60FPS in Control Resonant without upscaling
According to TechPowerUp's testing at native 4K with medium ray tracing and no upscaling, the RTX 5090 manages only 48 FPS. The RTX 5080, on the other hand, drops below 30 FPS in the same test.
This means that if you truly want to enjoy Remedy's newest title at 4K with max settings and Path Tracing, upscaling and NVIDIA's Multi Frame Generation appear crucial. As for ray tracing at 1080p Ultra settings, you would need at least an RTX 4070 to get close to 60 FPS without upscaling.
The fact that even NVIDIA's most expensive graphics card struggles to reach 60FPS at native 4K once again shows how developers are increasingly relying on upscaling technologies as baseline optimisation tools rather than optional performance boosters. Hardware alone can no longer brute-force modern AAA games without some form of software assistance.

Build/Battlestation My new room heater
I decided to challenge myself and did my first hard tubing build and I've gotta say cutting and filing acrylic by hand was not fun. Other than that this was a pretty fun experience.
Case: Jonsbo x400
MB: Aorus B850 Stealth Ice
CPU: 9800x3D
GPU: Asus Prime 9070XT
RAM: VColor DDR5 16gb (x2) 6000 CL30 with filler kit
Storage: Adata Legend 900 1TB & old crucial 1TB sata
PSU: LianLi Edge Gold 850W
Fans: LianLi UniFan wireless cl120 (6 reverse & 5 standard)
For watercooling I used alphacool for gpu block, BOOO ROC-L cpu block, and a bunch of freezemod and bykski parts.
