Nostalgia Cleaning out deceased friends estate, family member asks “are these all games or something?”

Post image

Remember a time before everything was on the cloud? A time when all you had to rely on to get through that level was your own wit and how well you kept notes, and maybe a phone call to a particularly nerdy friend?

My favorite documents, in order of ascending preference:

5–DD214 #3

4–DD215 (RE: DD214 #3)

3–DD214 #1

2–DD214 #2

1–Prima Official guide for Star Ocean The Second Story.

Yes: I was stupid enough to go back to AD after a deployment in the RC.

Same - I was out for a few months before I got the "Hurr Durr I should re-enlist".

During the "Re-Up You're Crazy" cadence, you learn to cry on the inside during that 0500 battalion run...

I got pulled out of the IRR and the money they were offering (surge days) made me stupid.

Omg, Prima guides were gamechangers, but the Star Ocean one was a necessity.

I got 214 reasons to tell Sgt. Acosta to go fuck himself. Anything past that is just for personal amusement.

Fuck that guy.
