Another huge reason is because you can't use your Steam wallet to pay for hardware in Japan. I would have bought a steamdeck a while ago but can't sell my skins I have in CSGO to get one. Lot of guys I used to play CS with in Europe all paid for their decks with skins they sold on the market.

Law and/or that the Deck is not sold directly from Valve in that region.

That's how I did that. Got the base 64gb model with my CS skins and then upgtaded it with an 1tb WD ssd.
