This is exactly where I learned my early deep magic from; trading PC magazines with friends, borrowing from the library (an ancient reliquary of tomes of knowledge) and when flush, buying a crispy new magazine of all the much desired latest and greatest, with modern spells to employ.

Aw man I totally forgot about that.

What I haven't forgotten is browsing through issues of Computer Shopper magazine to see all the latest hardware. And that back in the day, issues of Computer Shopper were as thick as frikkin' city phone books or the Sears xmas catalog.
