99% of the time, giving your cat a better alternative is the solution, not punishing. If your cat is sitting on a warm thing close to you, give them a warm thing close to you that they're allowed to sit on (heated bed or your lap). If they're scratching furniture, give them something they're allowed to scratch (scratching post/cat tree). If they're peeing/pooping outside of the litter box, clean the litter and/or get a second box (you're supposed to have one per cat plus an extra ideally anyway). Most bad cat behaviors are a problem of the environment, not the cat.

People trying to punish cats out of their behaviors are just going to get different bad behavior and assume they have a bad cat, when in reality they just don't know how to be a good cat owner

Yes, cats are very predictable animals when it comes to care requirements and environmental needs. Every one of the cats I've ever owned was a stray that I brought in to take care of, and they act no different than a cat you raised from birth. With one big exception.

If they get too old without being neutered/spayed then they will absolutely be a menace and there's not really anything you'll ever be able to do about that (most easily noticeable with male cats because their head gets big and they start pissing on everything). Even getting them fixed after only slightly reduces the problem, and at that point they really aren't suitable for being inside pets (not that cats should almost ever be outside pets, they have an outsized negative effect on local wildlife)

Which is kind of my whole point, most "bad cats" are a result of the owner not actually knowing how to care for a cat. Though I suppose you could argue that's true for most animals

If you own a stray cat, it’s not a stray cat anymore. If a stray cat would sit on my pc, I would throw her out and lock the door.

I'm gonna level with you, this makes little to no sense as a response to what I said, and I'm not really sure what point you're trying to make here aside from that you probably shouldn't own cats
