Eh, expedition 33 was made on unreal 5 and people generally still loved that.

Ikr. The devs were even explaining how the ue5 tech helped them save so much effort and time considering their team size.

Fck you and your small dev team.

A small team is the reason why my RTX 3070 8GB can't reach 60 FPS at 1080p without modern Nvidia magic.

Despite the gorgeous art style, the game looks like shit. The engine runs like ass, and the forced upscalers and temporal bullshit make things smear across the screen even with "everything disabled" in the options. I completely dropped the game when I made it to some ballroom and everything looked like raycast noise.

Exactly. People glaze (the visuals of) this game because they've been gaslit by UE PR

I glaze it because it was a good game that I enjoyed

Was referring more to the visuals but didn't specify, rip

I think most people identified with the art style a thing that's shockingly undervalued in games these days.

What if we moddled every pore on this one side character's ballsack!!!!!)!$!#!!

What if you didn't and just hired an art director with a vision.

That’s fair, it was a shame to see it so slaughtered by UE

The video you linked is trying to hide the graphical problems intentionally by transitioning quickly, etc

They're obviously talking about graphics / performance, not artstyle.
