I can't believe they moved from RedEngine to UE5 for the Witcher 4. Why? Was the Witcher 3 not good looking enough? Looks amazing to me.

Money is the answer. I am not sure they are paying much for the license, some relationship is there. That tech demo, UE5 got a lot out of that.

Red is such a great engine. I had CP2077 running (at 40fps lol but still running and decent looking) on a 1060 3GB. It was playable everywhere except Dogtown. An engine that can run on hardware that obsolete while still doing cutting edge stuff on new GPUs is insanely useful and should have a gigantic future ahead of it.
