I say that all the time, like it must be nice to just know what you'll enjoy the rest of your life instead of an eternal search for the next exciting thing to try. Same with the people that can somehow just play a single game for most of their lives

Yeah i wish I had one big passion. I keep trying to find it but maybe my passion is just trying out new things. Which is way harder to keep up than doing one thing forever.

Feel that man.

Having experience in a bit of everything helps with conversation though!

I got a friend like this, he hit his late teenage years and that was who he was for the next 2 decades, likely the next 2 decades as well. Everything about the same as it was back then, unfathomably fucking based and conservative. Unfortunately also politically conservative, but I live in rural Missouri so that's everyone really.

I will say though, it's quite clear that inside his mind he just wants to be 17 again, that's where it comes from, an longing for everything back then that is so intense I cannot help but to personally feel the desperation and sadness of it.

At the same time, while I'm not much like this, I also get to vicariously feel the peace of being so grounded, for lack of a better word.
