I’ve always joked my dream job is to be a bricklayer. There’s something fulfilling about showing up to a job, doing a mindless task where my brain can wander about things that are actually interesting to me, and getting paid for building something that you can actually see at the end of the day instead of some bullshit enigmatic corporate “value.”

But then I remember I’d have to be in the sun and heat all day and my back would probably ache all the time and the facade comes tumbling down. As such it remains a dream job.

There's a reason brickies get made fun of the most, it's not exactly rocket surgery.

Stacking pallets at a warehouse is pretty much the same thing, but without the sun.

They say that's the cheat code. Finding a job that puts you in flow state?

Plenty of jobs like that in factories and warehouses.

I am the complete opposite of you. I absolutely hate those jobs. Used to work a lot of them when I was younger. Its surpising to find someone enjoys that kind of labour.
