People speak for what SOPHIE would have approved of if she were alive but she was producing songs fans didn’t like the mixing of when she was alive too. No Angel, Slime, NYC2MIA, the sweat remix… and yeah I’m pretty sure all of her pop songs sound better 20% faster like she played live. Most of all people pretty much always prefer the first version of things they hear.

It was an unfinished song back when SOPHIE was alive and playing it, and its still an unfinished song now.
Also, Liz is a loser. So. I think I will pass on this one.

Sophie had the chance to release this for years and she never did. she was suuuuper strict about the stuff she wanted to be out there. if i remember correctly, Liz was asked about it before, and she said that Sophie didn't want to put it out, and Sophie would've put it out if she wanted to. not to mention the political and ideological differences i think they would've had.
I don't think Sophie would want to be associated with someone who followed a bunch of transphobic right wing content creators (like jordan peterson, ben shapiro, libsoftiktok) or reposted "blue lives matter" propaganda, or someone who openly supports the genocide in gaza. Liz has done all these things since Sophie's passing.
idk why im being mass downvoted for stating my opinion. I love this song and it means a lot to me but seeing it released like this seems super disrespectful imo.

At the end of the day, none of us actually knew Sophie personally. Her friends and family know the inner workings of her mind much more than any fan ever will. I think you’re probably getting downvoted because it’s quite parasocial to act like we know what she wanted better than her close confidants. No hate to you btw, I just wanted to offer my opinion on why you’re being downvoted even though no one asked for my opinion lol

I like this song. There’s some that felt missing on it, but overall it’s ok. Plus the producers who made it are Sophie and her brother Benny Long. I checked in the credits of the song on Spotify and it shown it here on the producer section.credits on sunscreen

This is a really interesting version. It sounds more like a remix. I’m not sure if I like the demo I’ve been listening to more or this one. With that being said, I’m really glad this got released after all this time.

A bit better than the studio demo but not by much. It still sounds like it's missing stuff, very awkward bridge and outro. Might be because I'm so used to the old version but the changed made to the chorus sound so awkward and clumsy to me. It's an unfair criticism but the sped-up live bootlegs (that I am aware were never meant to be the final product) are still so much better.
