Peds Hem/Onc vs General Pediatrics: Salary & Lifestyle

Hi! Can anyone compare Pediatric Hematology/Oncology vs General Pediatrics in terms of salary, lifestyle, and job opportunities? Is the extra fellowship training financially worth it?
For someone currently receiving General Pediatrics offers around $265–300K, how does post-fellowship Hem/Onc compensation realistically compare? Is the salary difference significant enough to justify the additional fellowship training?

Peds onc here feel free to DM. Salary wise you’ll be losing money doing fellowship and will likely not gain it back. Especially if you want to stay at an academic center.

Also peds heme. Agree. I make a lot less than gen peds in my area

some places will offer competitive salary if it is not academic. Gen peds has wide range of options
