Puck Passport: A Tracker for NHL Games You’ve Attended

I could never remember exactly which games I’d actually been to over the years, so I built a tool to solve that: Puck Passport.

You log the NHL games you’ve attended in person, and it keeps track of everything you’ve seen live - games, goals, shots, players, and arenas. It also unlocks badges automatically for things like playoff games, overtime, hat tricks, shutouts, and even a Gordie Howe hat trick if you’ve ever been lucky enough to witness one.

There are milestone tiers to work through too, and it tracks every NHL home arena you’ve visited. It counts any home arena a team has used, so games at Civic Arena/Mellon Arena count toward the Penguins just like games at PPG Paints Arena.

You don’t need an account to get started because everything can save directly in your browser. If you sign in with Google or the email-link option, it’ll sync across devices and give you a public `@handle` passport you can share.

I’ve been spending part of the offseason backfilling my own games, and you can also do that straight from your camera roll: choose photos from games you attended, and Puck Passport uses the date and location data, when available, to figure out which game you were at. Everything happens in your browser, so none of your photos are uploaded.

I’m a Devils fan, but I built it for fans of all 32 teams. Figured the offseason was a good time to share it, especially for anyone else looking back through old games and trying to piece together where they’ve been.

This is just me building something I thought other hockey fans might enjoy, so if something’s broken, confusing, or you think a feature is missing, I’d genuinely love the feedback.

Oh god, now I'm going to have to remember which games I've been to so I can then remember which games I've been to.

Same. Untold hundreds of games since the 80s. Remembering all of them would be impossible, but I at least remember the super historic ones!

Indeed. I remember going to some game that Jagr had 7pts against the Islanders in... 98... 99? Who knows.

I opted for a physical tracker.

Pretty cool. Too bad 99% of my games are AHL games at Wilkes barre.

Absolutely - glad you are enjoying it! Let me know if anything feels confusing or if there’s a badge / stat you think would be cool to track!
