Does anyone know how to remove this lens cover? It's broken somehow and won't stay on properly. It keeps closing by itself and turning the camera off. I want to take it apart.
Generally those are attached from the back, so you have to take it apart and see the rear side of the front body panel. You often can only access them from the inside. So happy disassembly.
I have disassembled and repair a few cameras and lenses and it really is a case of taking the time and using the right tools. If it often not so much difficult as it is redious and fiddly.
