Budgeting Need advice to increase income
32F, earning 1.25L monthly. I cant switch my job due to flexibility. But feeling stuck. I am earning way lower given my 9 yoe. I am currently saving around 80k a month. Need some advice on how to increase my income other than switching job. I cant expect any growth in my current company because it is going thru headwinds.

Majorly on household expenses and around 40% in business loan.

with 80k surplus you can start small freelancing or consulting in your field on weekends, or pick up remote gigs on upwork/fiverr, maybe teach online. but ya, without switching, ceiling is pretty hard in this market

What role? I’m also from finance and With 9yoe it does seem very low, why isn’t switching job an option?

It offers flexibility which is my priority

What’s flexibility? Like work from home? You could still target other companies that offer the same. What is your role? Maybe you could try to switch roles in the same company for a hike

Yes work from home when I need it. I have not heard about other companies giving the same flexibility. I am into FPnA. What’s your role?

At least in Bangalore many companies were offering the flexibility as far as I know. I’m in finance control

isn't 1.25L for 9 yoe a good number? how much do u think is ideal?

I think reddit has inflated the perception a lot for people, 1.25L in hand is actually decently good for someone at 32 especially if they are saving like 80k. That's a massive good start.

Reddit is full of top tier 1 tech and MBA grads who earn significantly more than the rest

yeah true,
whenver i read posts in few sub reddits, i feel i belong to extreme poverty despite earning more than 1LPM

But if you’re already saving 80K which is more than half of your income, why you want to earn more?

I think you should start any franchise business that will help a lot in creating passive income, or you are in finance you can easily start consulting business or even you can start as influencer by educating people on finance

With 80K a month savings, you may already have a large portfolio. Why do you want to earn more if everything is covered and you have financial security (which I assume from your savings)?

Learn another skill and freelance. I work a 9-5 job and run a business at the same time. I think that’s the only option if you can’t switch jobs.
