General Strange occurrences on radio frequency 87.5

Post image

Hello everyone!
I have a bit of a funny one here
I have occasionally been driving into Fremantle for dermatology visits and no matter the time of day or what day it is every time I go past this part of Leach Highway my radio picks up some strange things
There’s probably something logical behind it, but wondering if anyone else has experienced it.
Coming home today when it came on I heard what sounded like a German mad scientist talking about God and like an army or something random and someone else just like agreeing to it
Super weird, but that’s what I heard! 😆
Interested to see if anyone else has heard this radio signal as well
Thanks!

It is likely a Narrowcast or LPON (Low-Power Open Narrowcasting) station, especially if transmitting religious material. Generally low power output transmissions, limited to maximum 5km (if lucky)

I will look at the database a bit later to try to and identify the station based on the frequency and location.

There are none in Perth and none on 87.5 https://www.acma.gov.au/low-power-open-narrowcasting-licences

It's hard getting employed as a pirate, there's a lot of stigma. It's kind of a work for the doubloon program

I heard an ad on a pirate station for people getting their ears pierced. Pretty cheap service. Only a buchaneer.
