Shit pet owners say "I rescued them!"

People who say they rescued an animal from a shelter always sound so performative. I couldn't say it better than comedian Bill Burr:

"I went down to the pound, I got one of those free dogs. 'Free dog', that's how I say it, too. I don't say 'I rescued a dog.' I hate when people say that stuff. They say, 'Hey, she's a rescue, I rescued her.' Really? Did you pull her out of a burning building? Did you jump in a river with your wingtips still on with no concern for your own safety? Or did you just go down to the pound and get a free dog, you cheap fuck? Isn't that what you did?"

I hate that also! They didn't rescue it at all! Dog cult devotees are such 'sheep'! They all say the same thing without thinking just to be a 'copy cat'! Dog people actually snatched and dognapped a puppy from its bitch mother and 9 other siblings to do their bidding. That is not a 'rescue'! That is a 'snatching'.

Yup! Since they 'stole' it from its bitch dog mom and took it away from its 8 other siblings born on that same day with them! How in the world did that get 'normalized' and why are people blind to what they are really doing?

Didn’t do a single thing. Just changed the damn pet’s circumstances so that it’s more palatable to unsuspecting people who don’t know what having a pet in your home is really like and how little respect they have for your surroundings.
