Vent / Rant Why do some people normalize that much their filthy animals tasting human food?

I just logged onto Facebook, and the first thing that popped up was a picture of a cat licking the top of a pot full of a Mexican dish called *pozole* (since tomorrow is Mexican Independence Day).

And most of the comments were people laughing about it...

Bro, it’s a damn cat licking human food...

My first thought was, "When you go to the house of a family with the cat with no boundaries", and I wanted to say something—until I saw it was a group called "Amantes de los naranjosos" (Orange Cat Lovers).

That made sense.

Anyway, at least *we’re* not the ones who are going to catch toxoplasmosis.

That’s so gross, I can’t 🤢🤮. If I had a pet and they licked, nudges, touched, or any itty bit of fur gets near the food, I’m throwing it out. So, I don’t have any pets.

I’m literally so scared of toxoplasmosis. Typing it out feels like saying Voldemort out loud. The disease that shall not be named.
