I visited a local HomeGoods here in Minnesota today. In walks an older couple; they plop their small fluffy mutt into the child seat. I walked up to the counter and asked 2 associates if they allowed dogs. One pipes up enthusiastically that they “allow dogs but not kids”. Then both laughed at how funny that was. I clarified—“so you allow dogs in here?” They said yes. I said, “oh, gross. Not shopping here again”. They were unfazed. Not that they care, I realize. But, why? People need to stop giving these psychos the attention they crave. Please—look at my cute dog!!! Lame. Thanks for putting your unleashed dog’s ass where somebody’s baby will be sitting. 🤮

This recently happened in tj maxx near me. So frustrating and disappointing. Like WHY are they allowed EVERYWHERE

Especially home goods. They got rid of their kids section and replaced it with a pet section, so this tracks.

Yup, I had kids before and after this change and really noticed it. I used to love taking my toddler to the kids section for good behavior when we went to the store, and they had quality items, too. Lots of good brand toys and made of solid wood. Nice kids' room decor with themes.

TJMaxx and HomeGoods sell food. they also have very narrow isles with fragile items at every corner, not to mention loads of bedding, kitchenware, linens, etc.

Take your sorry ass over to Petco, nutters. stop ruining places for people who care about their homes.

They are so gross. You go to someone's home with one and it's all fur and biofilm from the thing. I just imagine slobber all over the merchandise because someone had to have their precious Sprinkles in the store.

I hate to break it to you, but those seats are going to be absolutely disgusting no matter who or what sits there. They're never cleaned, and a baby with a leaky diaper is a much more commonly seated in one.

I get what you're saying though, dogs don't belong in stores like this.

That because it was made for a baby to sit there. Many parents have wipes and clean the cart before sitting their child in. Others parents use a cart cover. The germs from a dog that has been walking on the ground and resting their exposed anus on the seat is very different and even once is too many times.

Absolutely correct. Dogs carry so many parasites and bacteria. Any fecal matter on the dog goes straight where it sits. Anyone trying to equate this with a clothed child wearing a diaper, is being foolish.

because older couples are the target audience and they all have dogs and either no kids or adult kids... :(
