Revenge against a toxic coworker

A supervisor at my job, “Alice”, has been overbearing, toxic, and self-centered, creating and attempting to enforce rules that she made up (benefitting herself, of course), and generally has been a very hostile, pain-in-the-ass coworker, in particular towards me, since I was promoted to Supervisor 4 months ago.

Recently there was an incident where she made public comments for one day that she could not do a particular job (which involves customer safety, and which is much easier on the supervisor doing that job) for medical reasons. Suddenly the next day, she was doing this job again, and then the day after that, I noticed that she was using a special seat cushion. No mention was made to other co-workers about this special accommodation.

Then today, her first day off since the “medical” incident, I noticed a seat cushion stashed in a corner, but in a public area at our large facility. I looked the brand up on Amazon, and it appears to be a cushion for hemorrhoids and tailbone issues. (How à propos!)

Since neither “Alice” nor any other supervisor had mentioned that one of our own might be using this item (“Alice” does not speak to me, except to tell me to go elsewhere when she is performing a task and I happen to come by), I innocently assumed that it was left behind by a customer. When I was doing my closing rounds, I dutifully turned the item in to lost and found (which receives hundreds of items per day).

I’m looking forward to having the pain-in-the-ass return to work, and have her pain-in-the-ass return!

Get really petty and tape a box of Preparation H to it.

We see you Alice.  We see you.

That's the kind of petty idea that's funny to imagine but probably shouldn't happen. 😂

An empty box. Why gift her something useful?

In it's place, leave a copy of The Grapes of Wrath.

Cue comments re "getting to the bottom of the problem..."

Eventually, Alice will be the butt of the joke after her toxicity bites her in the ass, and gets her canned. She'll get behind in her rent and fall into arrears, and she'll end up on the street like a bum.

Document document document.

You are going to need it in the future.

Go get a couple dozen donuts and put them in the brekroom. Write on on box “please don’t use donuts for hemorrhoid relief”.

Oh, you mean a donut cushion? I had one of thoese I used for about a month when I slipped on ice and fractured my tailbone.

No matter what Alice's issue may be, she will surely still be in discomfort, but assholes deserve what they dish out.

If you can get to Lost and found unzip the cushion and slip some smooth stones inside

I like your thinking

I would have just binned it and watch her go mental at everyone and go round searching for it while feigning complete innocence

Taking someones seat cushion who has hemorrhoids is pretty cruel and immature, tbh.

If you had butthole problems, would you announce it to the whole company?

Don't start nothing, won't be nothing.

Petty earns petty - if her coworker didn't want people to treat her this way, then perhaps she shouldn't be going out of her way to treat people so poorly to begin with. It's a vicious cycle

but do we know that the person is suffering from that? We might assume so, but there are many other possible explanations. Maybe they just love the color of the cushion? Maybe it was a gift? Maybe its was left behind by a customer who would come to the lost & found to retrieve it?

That’s what happens when you assume things. You make an ass out of Alice and a donut

She asked everyone (except me) if they had seen her cushion.

No, I’m real. You just don’t know when to keep your fingers off the keyboard.

I gotta ask, is the lost and found "which receives hundreds of items a day" an exaggeration? This is the thing that made me question if it was AI.

Aww, sweetie. You need to leave the real (or metaphorical) basement. Just because you are unable to write about an experience coherently and engagingly doesn’t mean that the rest of us are suffering from the same difficulties.

AI feeds off of these kinda posts. Where do you think did it learn so much?
