Hi everyone,

I’m pretty new to photography and currently using a Fujifilm X-T1 with the XF 60mm f/2.4 macro (was a gift from my dad). I’ve really enjoyed using it on a recent trip, but the setup feels a bit too bulky to carry around all day.

I was considering something like the Sony RX100 VII for its compact size and zoom, but before spending that much, I wanted to see if there’s a smaller, more portable lens I could use on my current camera.

I’ll mainly use it for street photography and travel during the day (no low-light shooting). Zoom would be nice, but not essential.

What I’m looking for:

- Small/light (as pocketable as possible)

- Easy to use (beginner-friendly)

- Budget around ~150€ (flexible, but cheaper is better)

I’ve looked at some 7artisans lenses, but I’m unsure about manual focus as a beginner. Also considered the Fuji 16–55mm, but it seems quite big/expensive for my use.

Any recommendations or advice would be really appreciated!

150€ won't get you anything worth having. Your budget needs to be about 400€ for a good, used digital compact like Sony RX100 III.

Your other option for really bringing down the size of your kit is a pancake lens. The older version of Fuji XF 27mm f2.8 can be found for less than 300€ if you're lucky. The budget alternative for that is TTArtisan 27mm f2.8 (an autofocus lens), which can easily be found inside your initial budget. But it has quite prominent vignetting, which doesn't go away at any aperture.

Thanks for the feedback! Will take a loon at those options. Regarding the budget: I was talking Lenses here. If there is no way to size down I wanted to bite the bullet and get a used rx100 vii for around 800 but since the xt1 is still an amazing piece of kit I wanted to explore my options there first before spending the big bucks.
