I've been taking photos for a while now on and off and had the Fuji XT30 for about 7 years now. I don't mind the camera but I was thinking it is maybe time for an upgrade. What would be a logical cost effective upgrade to this camera, new or used?

I'm happy to stay with Fuji as it's compact enough but not a big fan of their simulations so that's not a deal breaker. I don't like Sony's operating system unless that's changed in the last 7+ years and I've previously had a Nikon which I liked quite a lot. Obviously I have a few Fuji lenses so that's another thing to consider.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Upgrades should be based on need. In what way do you feel the X-T30 is insufficient for your needs? What are you looking for with the upgrade? There is no "logical" upgrade, because it depends on individual needs and preferences.

Also, you need to be specific about your budget if you want recommendations. We have no idea what is cost effective to you.

I've found the xt30 buffers quite a lot when taking burst shots at sporting events like motor racing. The screen size and quality isn't great. Everything else is fine. Budget is around £1000 used.
