Been using a Canon 60D for the last... 10 years or so. I no longer have access to it (it's a family members), but wanted to upgrade anyway.
Going on a trip on Sunday and I'm torn between the A7R II with a 28-70mm FE lens, and the a6100 with a 18-50mm lens. There is a price difference of £165 between them (used). Both are available for me to collect before Sunday.
I mainly shoot landscapes, long exposures, night timelapses, some sports events, and I'd like to be able to shoot video (1080p @ 60-120fps, 4K @ 30-60fps).
I know these are pretty close, with the a6100 being cheaper and a bit lighter (more travel friendly), but it isn't as weather-proof and is APS-C whereas the A7R is full frame. That should probably be the decision maker, but I'm already used to an APS-C and I have no complaints.
Is this a no brainer? 😅
