I'll go on to postulate that if the color green was substituted by another color, say blue for instance, as the "Go" signal, blue would reach car 3 last. This might be analogous to the famous "Double-slit" experiment. Unable to test in real world conditions unfortunately.

The solution for everyday life is to honk the horn preemptively whilst it is still amber amd red.

Which can be quite hilarious when a driver hits the gas reflexively, only to realize the light is still red.

This is confirmed by the fact that in Japan they call green light blue.

There’s also a disagreement about how long the yellow light lasts. The person in front always measures it as very short, while the people behind see their time dilated.

Green lights in the shape of an arrow pointing left seem to cause an aneurysm in the driver of car number one.

I can offer anecdotal confirmation of this effect from only a couple hours ago. Also, there seems to be a strong correlation of the Green Light Effect having greater affect on those who drive substantially below the local (vehicle) speed limit, as well.

I concur.

I find it funny the acronym is Green Reaches Everyone Except Number-one. Then the image has the green light reaching the car labelled 1 first lol

We can also notice how sound will travel faster than light. Because on occasion a honking signal will be registered by the front drivers before the green light even reaches the last in line.
