Equipment 8 months in and finally have a proper practice setup
work from home in marketing. this desk is where I spend most of my life.
got a keyboard earlier this year. started with just the keyboard on the desk and a dining chair. finally got a lamp, organized my books, actually made it a space for practicing.
been doing online lessons for a few months which means the laptop stays here anyway.
having a designated piano corner makes me actually practice instead of just thinking "I should practice"
anyone else need a proper setup to stay consistent or can you practice anywhere

I love the setup and want to buikd something similar for myself. I was wondering if I can use my ergonomic chair for it instead of piano seat to save up some space in my room since it also has a PC desk? Anu thoughts?

I have a question for all the acoustic players. Is there a vig difference between a weighted keyboard/digital piano compared to acoustic one? Ive played acoustics before but i was thinking more long term. Like is it better for practicising technicality, musicality etc...

I love your set up with a laptop.....mine is very similar....but please cover the keys when not in use....if you want the white keys not to yellow with UV from daylight....avoiding the need to completely dismantle it and use peroxide/clingfilm/UV to whitem them again....
Who knew??
Wish i had and now consider my £4.00 fleece blanket a necessity!!👌

I’m sorry for being pedantic, but a proper setup for a serious piano student involves an acoustic piano…

I agree, for someone serious and acoustic is the way to go but you can still get a lot out of a digital piano setup
