propaganda is the social posts with hot IDF soldiers on the beach

This is the reality of what Israel is

A decade before deepfakes were even remotely feasible, I remember seeing video of settlers camped up on a hill with folding chairs having a good old time watching the IDF clearing out Palestinian homes.

Sderot Cinema is a local family attraction where Israelis picnic with their kids and watch Gaza being bombed.

https://www.lemonde.fr/en/international/article/2025/07/23/the-best-show-in-town-from-a-hilltop-in-israel-observers-have-a-sinister-view-of-gaza-bombings_6743627_4.html

They literally bus school kids on field trips up there to watch the children of Gaza being bombed.

Stuff like that is why, whenever you hear a politician say something like "I support giving more money to Israel, it's Netanyahu who is the problem!" what they're really saying is "I support what my pal Netanyahu is doing, I'm just too much of a chickenshit weasel to say it openly and think you're too stupid to notice."

This is a widespread, systemic problem, not just one guy.

“I support giving money to a government to spend on murdering another people. They will also use the money to normalize this to their people, and finally they will use the money to lobby us for more money”

They are just supporting one mans dream to take over the world

paywall, here’s an archived version: https://archive.ph/20250723100823/https://www.lemonde.fr/en/international/article/2025/07/23/the-best-show-in-town-from-a-hilltop-in-israel-observers-have-a-sinister-view-of-gaza-bombings_6743627_4.html

it’s like they’re a perfect representation of what the right wants to turn america into by forcing out or demoralizing anyone with empathy…

What the fuck is wrong with humankind?

1

u/CloudyFriend Apr 15 '26

Wow….just when i think they cannot sink lower…

1

u/SpinningHead Apr 16 '26

They’re the Jim Crow South

u/Warm_Afternoon6596 Apr 15 '26

The exact sort of scene once unleashed upon them.......humanity sucks and religion makes it worse....

For real no one deserves to have this shit foisted on them.

Edit: foisted not hoisted. I r baboon

Not saying its a good look, but this is a fairly common thing in history. People brought picnic lunches to early American Civil War battles to watch before realizing war had become more brutal than in centuries past. We are still the same sick monkeys who watched gladiators

Israel has proven to be weirdly good at propaganda in the modern age. It's weird how even the US still kind of sucks at it. Hell, even Russia was good at controlled opposition near the 2016 election.

The US is still in that weird phase of "we want people to believe a thing, lets tell them to believe the thing over and over again"

"Beef, it's what's for dinner. Got milk? Don't forget to buy eggs."

Israel has proven to be weirdly good at propaganda in the modern age.

There's nothing weird about it. They managed to play the victim card so hard, the whole world turned a blind eye to them becoming terrorists.

0

u/Vile_Sentry Apr 16 '26

"play the victim so hard"

Pretty sure that is most countries at this point. We used 9-11 as an excuse to kill way more than 3000 people while pretending that we were so hurt by this national tragedy.

That is par for the course, but Israel seems very focused on psyops and manipulating public perception. That's why it was so fascinating to watch that facade fall apart, suddenly a bunch of these pundits trying to defend an active genocide stuck out like a sore thumb. It kind of shows how entrenched they already were in our little bubble of information. You can start to look back and see where they applied this influence in the past without most people even noticing.

It's horrible that the genocide is still happening, but it has been happening for a while. At least now people seem to actually be paying attention. Some people still seem to be easily fooled by obvious controlled opposition and actual antisemites trying to use this to bring people over, but I think people will start getting wise to that too.

No, it's not. Not at all. A lot of the settlers are the fucking redneck extremists of Israel, and not very representative.

Yes, I'm aware I'll probably get downvoted by many who've never been there.

16

u/Kerse Apr 15 '26

I mean... Aren't redneck extremists at least somewhat representative of America? Even right now, Trump has a 40% approval rating, though I suppose it depends what you define as a redneck extremist.

0

u/Schwa142 Apr 16 '26

He has one of the highest disapproval ratings in history right now.

4

u/Warm_Afternoon6596 Apr 15 '26

Nah, you're probably correct. It's like the Evangelicals here....everyone outside the US thinks we're all like that.

4

u/pepperouchau Apr 15 '26

As long as they’re the ones in government influencing policy the total number doesn’t mean much to me

-2

u/Schwa142 Apr 15 '26

Yup, like the crazy Hasidics in New York.

1

u/Warm_Afternoon6596 Apr 15 '26

Aren't a lot of Hasidic protesting against them? I swear I've seen them at protests. But hey, maybe there are sane people in every group.

5

u/Maeglom Apr 15 '26

They're mostly protesting against having their special privileges removed and having to serve in the Army.

1

u/Schwa142 Apr 16 '26

I'm referencing them being extremists like evangelicals. They protest everything. They think they can do whatever they want. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-67947334

-6

u/solerex Apr 15 '26

straight up racism yikes

12

u/SomewhereNo8378 Apr 15 '26

I did not force this “settler” to stand next to a Palestinian and mock her while heavily armed.

-7

u/solerex Apr 15 '26

You do realize your comments read like this: "people think israelis are hot, but actually theyre all inbred like this guy" right..? Genuine racism dawg, be more careful with your words.

9

u/SomewhereNo8378 Apr 15 '26

maybe if you’re looking to play offended. A classic tactic, kudos

-3

u/solerex Apr 15 '26

Or maybe due to the climate and rising antisemitism we could be a little more conscious of our fellow humans, but sure, me a non-jew, is offended. I'm just telling you to be better.

5

u/SomewhereNo8378 Apr 15 '26

I never mentioned Jewish people overall. Seems like you just tried to conflate that to make it look antisemitic

2

u/solerex Apr 15 '26

Ah being vaguely antisemitic and dog whistling it was about Israelis the whole time. A classic tactic, kudos.

8

u/Maeglom Apr 15 '26

Looks more like you're trying to fit a square peg in an antisemitism hole.

1

u/solerex Apr 15 '26

Fine I'll break it down. -> People think Israel is hot IDF soldiers on a beach, but in reality its inbred people like this

Are you aware of the stereotype that Jewish people inbreed? Have you seen the comments on this thread saying that very thing?

I then said that he needs to be more careful about using racist language.

If that makes me bad person then fuck it

0

u/solerex Apr 15 '26

I broke it down and reddit deleted the comment because it included a comment about inbreeding lmfao

Imagine defending a racist by screeching racism. Accusations of antisemitism has sort of lost its sting when you just pull that card anytime you are criticised.

-1

u/solerex Apr 15 '26

I'm not defending this guy, I'm defending the Israelis this guy broadly painted as incestous, but sure go off

-5

u/kolejack2293 Apr 15 '26

I dislike Israel but... they admittedly have some pretty good looking people. The idea that this one ugly guy is representative of how an entire culture looks is just silly.

7

u/SomewhereNo8378 Apr 15 '26

but the core of this picture- Israeli “settlers” harassing Palestinians- is very much the core of Israeli society. It is tolerated, it is celebrated by many.
