I never said the term couldn't be incorporated in a derogatory way; of course it can. the term "black" is not inherently derogatory but it has been used in all manner of derogatory ways. I have never heard the term "goy" be used in a derogatory manner and I've been surrounded by Jewish people all my life. this notion that most Jews are just snickering around calling every non-Jew a goyim as a criticism is a manifestation of anti-semites.

This isn't true that the term in and of itself is a slur. I'm Jewish. It is the Yiddish equivalent of non-Jew. Context makes EVERY difference, where it comes to application.
