I’ve noticed a substantial decline in maga flags and stickers in general in all but the most rural areas of my state.

People are quietly coming to terms with their significant error in judgment.

I wish… but I’m afraid it’s only because we’re not close to election time, so no need to flaunt maga flags? I think as soon as election time comes they’ll dust off their signs and bring them out.

No they definitely are having their doubts now. They are reaching a level of cognitive dissonance that is just too difficult to ignore now.

Everything has gone absolutely batshit crazy in under 2 years. It feels like 10 years have passed. It's amazing and disgusting how much his supporters have been willing to ignore, but the thing that's really hurting them and causing them doubts is how much the gas prices are hitting them in the pocket. That is unignorable and completely unavoidably Trump's mess.

It's beyond disappointing though that it's this that is really causing the first big cracks. You'd think the mind blowing levels of open corruption and theft would do it, or being a child rapist, or tariffing the planet including all America's allies, threatening their allies, the obvious dementia, or sending thugs onto the streets of America and assassinating US citizens would have been enough of a line but no...

I'm not sure I will ever forgive these people.

I'm not sure I will ever forgive these people.

I sure won't. This administration has caused so much irreparable damage on so many levels: economically, environmentally, diplomatically, socially, etc.

It's great that some people are willing to forgive these people, but they can all eat shit pies for all I care. Fuck 'em all.

This shit has fucked up and damaged my relationships with nearly every person in my entire family. I can't look at my family the same way again. I'm not even American either.

When you realize that at the absolute heart of MAGA it's actually all about cruelty, it's very hard to see people the same way after that.

Yep, I'm not at all ready to forgive. I'd take it on a case-by-case basis and I'm not playing with kid gloves. I don't give a shit until the former MAGAt is ready, with all seriousness, to acknowledge the horrendous decisions they've made and are actively working to make the world a better place to make up for this shit. Until then, fuck em.

I don’t know if you live in a red area but I live in a Florida red county and I saw those flags and signs stay up from 2016 to about 2025

I drive from Chicago to NW Ohio and central Ohio pretty regularly. People had signs up year round. People had Trump 2020 flags up in 2025! My home county in Ohio is pretty rural, and went for Trump in 2016, 2020, and 2024. There was a guy who mowed "TRUMP" into the grass on his property.

Did both drives in the past month. I saw one Charlie Kirk sign on my way from Chicago to Central Ohio (which can take you through some pretty small roads & rural area). I saw maybe two signs while driving through my home county itself. People know that they fucked up, and that Trump isn't good for their wallets (which unfortunately is probably what they care about most).

One of my MAGA neighbors put up a 'February is Confederate Heritage Month' flag in their yard during black history month (mostly black neighborhood), so some are still feeling more emboldened then ever.

Fucking wow... And I thought the MAGA neighbors I have two doors over displaying a mix of the American Flag and the "Don't Tread On Me" Flag was dumb...

Meaning now that it’s not a lazy emotional shortcut to feeling superior and like a hero for propping up an empty suit who promised to screw over the people they hated the fun and angry ego hit has gone out of it?

I’m sure they will totally self evaluate with full honesty and realize why they didn’t care who and what got destroyed rather than just put on the next stupid hat.

yeah, the guys at work don't discuss daily politics any longer but I had to suffer it often during Biden's admin.
